Colorado Boating and Sailing

Each year, BVSPS holds several on the water sailing and boating events in and around Colorado. Locations have included Lake Granby, Lake Dillon, Chatfield Resevoir, and Carter Lake to name a few. See our latest newsletter and calendar links on the left navigation bar. For any questions please feel free to Contact Us for further details.

Sailing Rendezvous' and Buddy Boating

Bi-annually BVSPS holds a Rendezvous at a coastal or inland waterway outside of Colorado. These events are usually coordinated by an experienced member and may include trailering a boat or chartering, depending on the preferences. There are also many opportunities for Buddy Boating where a member will be traveling to a location and inviting other members to join them for some or all of the event.

Meetings

Membership meetings: Members, guests, and visitors are welcome to attend regular meetings which are generally held on the fourth Thursday of each month, except during the summer boating months. The current meeting place is the United Methodist Church in Boulder, Colorado. Link to Google map: Meeting Location

Officer Bridge meetings: Usually held the first Thursday of each month. The business needs of BVSPS are discussed and voted upon. All members are welcome to attend and join in discussion, but the voting is left to the elected officers.

Officer District and National Meetings: Usually held once per year at various locations

Social Events

Social events are typically a pot-luck style gathering which may be included in a rendezvous or seminar setting. The social events normally held each year are: The spring Charter Party, The fall Haul-Out Party, and the winter Holiday Gathering.

Seminars on Boating Topics
